How do you use paint Stripper on a deck? I'm trying to strip the paint off the deck. I bought some stripper chemicals. The guy at Home Depot told my dad to use a roller to spread it over the wood, then scrape or power wash it off after 45 minutes. But the bottle says to apply the stripper, do not let it dry, and spray it was mist every few minutes to keep it wet, while removing the paint. It also says to re apply stripper if drying occurs. I'm using a wire brush to remove it, but it barely works either way. Which way is best?
How do I remove paint stripper from my furniture? It has left a gooey mess.? I had a table and 6 chaires that were stained and then covered with some sort of laquer. I wanted to pain them black, so I decided to use a paint stripper so I wouldn't have to spend so much time sanding. Plus, there are many little grooves that would be extremely difficult to sand. I used a paint remover called Bix. It's water based. Now I'm trying to scrape and sand it off and it's not working well. It took 15 minutes just to remove it from one seat in the chair, and it still didn't remove it all. It kind of left a big gooey mess. Is there anything I can use on the paint stripper that will remove it?

Can anyone tell me what the name of this is / what brands are available in the UK?

Will paint stripper harm ceramic tiles or grout? I just had my bathroom completely redone and would like to remove the several layers of old lumpy paint on the door frame and repaint it so it looks nicer. I realize I should have probably removed it before or as the work was going on, but did not think to do that at the time. If I use a paint stripper on the door frame do you think I am taking a chance is ruining the wall tiles or grout if the stripper ended up on some of the tiles? Is there a way to protect the tiles while I strip the paint? From what I can see the door frame is actually a metal frame. I would rather not use a heat gun and take a chance of melting the tiles off the walls.
Where can I find a heavy duty paint stripper for brick (please see details)? I need a commercial grade stripper to strip paint off brick walls in the shop. The guys painted the walls with oil based paint, and the brick is not breathing, which, I guess, causes mold. If anyone has any good brand to recommend, especially if you've used it and had good results, please let me know. Links are always helpful. I have to show this to my boss and he'll make the decision. Thank you *crickets*

What's the difference in Paint Thinner and Paint Stripper? I'm letting my painting project soak in Thinner b/c I messed up on it---after painstakingly hand-sanding and priming my car's door handles, I did my first coat and then went back outside only to find that my door handle got blown over and stuck to the newspaper beneath.....so I tried spraying a second coat to fix this blemish thinking that it was dry enough. RESULT: I caused that smooth surface to become wrinkled and very tacky feeling. Now I'm back to square one and trying to remove the two layers of mess. :(
