How do you erase in Corel Painter Essentials 4?

I just bought my Bamboo Pen graphics tablet and it came with Corel Painter Essentials 4. I was trying to draw something and I made a mistake so I tried to erase it but it wouldn't, like it would just make the outline lighter. How do you erase it completely? Thank you in advance!
