What type of paint brushes are best for oil paint?

My brushes tend to end up with the tip coming off and the strokes don't paint on as clean as I would like. I am looking for high quality brushes that are meant for oil paints and also acrylic, as well. Brands, what the bristles are made of? Also, I'll ask the same for watercolor.
