Painter Essentials

Why is my drawing in Painter Essentials pixelated?

I have Painter Essentials 4, and every time I zoom in my sketch appears pixelated. Right now, my canvas size is 350x500 pixels per inch and the resolution is 300 ppi. Also it's 684 K. I'm wondering if these settings need to be changed. Ultimately, I want the finished product to be posted on the internet.

  1. Monitors only display at about 72 ppi/dpi, so there is no need for 300 ppi if you only using it for web. Your just making your file larger than you need to. Also, Painter works in raster graphics, so of course if you zoom it will get pixelated. If you want to eliminate pixelization regardless of how much you zoon, you need to work in a vector graphics program. Zooming in raster does not make more pixels, it just makes the pixels take up more screen space..
